Today, the PTR-91 company produces its rifles and precision components in a U.S. facility, employing state-of-the-art processes. The PTR name stands for Precision Target Rifle, and the company’s gunsmiths and engineers have taken the classic German G3 design to a higher level. The result is a modern rifle based on a proven background. These firearms come with match grade bull barrels and are chambered for .308 or 7.62 NATO caliber. The action comes from a roller-delayed blowback system. The PTR-91 Paratrooper rifle has a tri-rail tactical handguard and German paratrooper collapsible stock.
