SKS Rifles For Sale
The SKS rifle is a Soviet Union design from the mid 1940s. It is chambered in the 7.62x39mm round that was eventually shared with the Soviet AK-47 rifle. The SKS is a standard semi-automatic design that is gas operated and uses a conventional wood stock. The attached box magazine holds 10 rounds of 7.62 x 39mm ammunition. It is loaded from the top with the bolt open. A folding blade or spike bayonet is attached to rifle. The SKS rifle was produced by many eastern com-bloc countries as well as China. The design was robust and simple. Used in several military conflicts around the world, the SKS was replaced by more modern and efficient designs.
Today, the SKS rifle is used most frequently as a hunting or sporting rifle. These Curio and Relic rifles represent a very good value and are collected by history enthusiasts.
