The Sonus is engineered to be ultralight at only 9.8oz without sacrificing durability. The precision engineered 17-4 design allows for thinner walls which not only optimize low weight but also increase internal volume while maintaining a small outer envelope. Thinner walls also mean better heat transfer as the silencer convert the kinetic energy of high- speed muzzle gasses into heat rather than sound. All these factors produce an optimized geometry to give you the best possible performance for the most compact, light silencer possible. The Sonus ships with a removable 1/2x28 direct thread adapter and is compatible with all industry standard 1.375x24 HUB or Bravo style quick-disconnect mounting systems.

The PLAN-A™ taper mount interface, provides an accurate, minimal length and weight solution to configuring the suppressor in a rifle configuration. This configuration supports Griffin's tried and true taper mount devices, which have been proven to provide the least point of impact shift and greatest accuracy to long range shooters in the firearms community.

The booster piston system affords the user the ability to convert the suppressor for use on browning style action (tilt barrel) pistols.
