The magazine fit just like a factory magazine, was easy to load and functioned just as it should. Seems to be a product made with quality in mind. I would have given 5 stars, but I was not very impressed with the floorplate of the mag, it's straight without a kick-out toward the front of the handle where you pinky finger would normally rest. Toward the rear of the mag base, it's straight as well, I would have preferred to see a designed similar to the floorplate of a factory mag so that it looks like a "factory fit and finish". But, aesthetics are second to functionality. Over all it's worth the extra couple rounds.

This is a good and much needed product. Why Sig doesn't use this at the factor is a mystery to me. The original takedown lever with that shelf on it rubbed a blister on my thumb every shooting session. Top Gun is the only place I could find this part.

Awesome buy. I was a certified engraved sig sauer sp 2022 magazine. I tried and range tested. No problems. Gonna buy another soon.

I like it! ...not that I anticipate having to ventilate bad guys with 21 rounds but it's convenient that with the self-defense ammo that I buy coming in boxes of 20 cartridges, it's a box per (this) magazine.

In January 2018 was lucky to find a Sig P229 SAS Gen2 for sale on a well known online seller. The pistol came with two magazines that were extremely difficult to load 15 rounds into. After doing some Sig related forum research, I discovered that there are two manufacturers who make Sig mags as well as many recommendations to always check TGS when making purchases for Sigs. I have purchased four 15 round mags from Top Gun for the P229 (which has the E2 grip), each one has Sig Sauer P229-1 and Made in Italy stamped on the mag. I believe this means they are made by Mec Gar and each one has worked flawlessly. Can easily load the full capacity of 15 rounds. Very happy with the purchases from Top Gun and the speed at which things arrive down here in southern Arizona.

I bought two of these, one for a 229 and one for a 226. In both cases it worked as expected. My high thumb grip was preventing the slide for locking open on an empty magazine because I was riding the slide release. This part fixes that issue. Now, my slide locks open on an empty magazine without changing my grip. I did have to modify my G-10 grips to work with these, but it was minimal and easily done with a file.
