Here is my honest experience with the 43X, I noticed out of the box a metal to metal grind when pulling back and forth the slide, I tore it down cleaned and lubed per Glocks specifications. I went to the range, loaded 10 rounds to the magazine and noticed that the mag had a minor issue locking in. I chambered the first round and after the fire I experienced a jamb. Cleared the jamb and did not have an issue after that. NOTE: The range master assisted me with the clearing and asked if I lubed it and I confirmed his suspension. I also own a Glock 19 and am familiar with lube requirements and I have not had any jamb issues with it (full mag). Back to the 43… I continued the range shoot with 3 more full mags with no issue. I since have shot at least 200 rounds with no issue. I also was told during my CCW class that magazine loading should be one cartridge less than max due to spring pressure, which I tend to agree with when using a brand new mag. I chose this model over the Sig Sauer P365 do to the simplicity, handling and that I enjoyed the Glock 19. After a couple hundred rounds I noticed during tear down that the grinding issues (in my opinion) is due to the slide guides on the frame, it appears the corners are sharp and the slide guides have a slight curve corners up. It also appears they wear down and the grind feel goes away.
Overall I feel my “mini me” Glock 43X is a great starter for conceal carry and getting that experience as a new handgun user. BTW attend a CCW class in your area, well worth the cost!
I also want to extend my thanks to Top Gun for making this newbie feel comfortable, answering all my questions and explaining the Glock tear down procedure. It’s all about customer service during and after the sale.

Even though I have heard that H and K handguns may go 10,000 rounds with the same recoil spring, I believe changing out the recoil spring in a pistol may solve or prevent many problems. Inexpensive insurance. I received first class personalized service from The people at Top Gun.

The magazine base pads were very well made and would definitely buy more in the future, the delivery was very fast.

First of all, working with the people at Top Gun was great. And the quality/workmanship of the Mec-Gar 15 rd magazine was great. But... was only able to award 3 stars. Where they (Mec-Gar) missed the mark was that I had a nearly 100% jam rate when hand cycling the slide with hollow point ammo (JHP). Upon closer inspection, I measured the opening at the top of the magazine and found them (all 4 of them) about 0.9mm narrower than the factory Beretta Mags. Beretta mags measured 9.6-9.9mm(2x) vs. Mec-Gar 8.9-9.0mm (4x measured). This, in turn, meant that the rounds were lower down the feed ramp; causing the sharp edge of the JHP to catch on the feed-ramp bottom (jamming). The guys at Top Gun immediately offered to take them back; but, I refused the offer; instead, I was able to insert some heavy duty ring lock pliers at the top, and flare the openings about 0.5 to 0.8mm. They now work flawlessly. The front of the bullet is angled a bit higher. Due to the sheetmetal wrap-around at the back end, was not possible to flare along entire length; but, feed just fine. Would have been tempted to return, but really wanted the capacity, and the workmanship of Mec-Gar (obviously, above issued excluded)

Brad at Top Gun is the best!!

This is not so much about the mags - they are quality items, no doubt about that! This is more about the service from Top Gun Supply - first class all the way! The price and checkout was excellent; shipping was fast and communication excellent! The mags are FN and cycle flawlessly, as I expected, and they look good in the 509M MRD - you will need to get the sleeves as well, though.

They had hard to find magazines for my Baretta, shipping was fast. Totally satisfied with my purchase

Where do you go to find a part for a once common pistol, now no longer made? Where do you go if you want the part quick.

I couldn't find grip screws for my p229 on sig sauers web site or anywhere else.I was pleased to find them at top gun. They provided the thread pitch and diameter of the screws so I knew they would fit my older p229 manufactured in 1995. Definitely factory replacement screws with a dab of thread lock on threads. Perfect fit and fast delivery.
