As all of x-Grip products are finely designed and very useful these sadly do not fit a 228 or 229 magazine unless it has a flat base plate. The magazines I ordered have a small lip all the way around the base and the x-grip will not go over the rim and seat.

I bought the Xgrip for sig 229, I have both a 9mm and 40SW, the Xgrip works great with both calibers for 226 mags that you want to use in 229 as long as you do NOT have the E2 grips(people with larger hands typically discard E2 grip anyway since smallest grip in Sig line) I use the Xgrips because I have large hands and the std 229 grip is too short, Xgrip makes a huge difference in getting a better grip for me. Xgrip fits like a OEM part on the mags too. Highly recommend, but once again as long as your gun does not have the E2 grips which keeps Xgrip mags from fully seating/locking in Sig 229. Xgrips are Easy to install also, Replace existing floor plate with Xgrip metal floor plate provided by Xgrip and then snap on plastic Xgrip finger extension. Ive ordered from Top Gun Supply for at least a dozen years, they have always provided outstanding service and great prices.
