My stock magazine catch was creating a lot of initial resistance upon making contact with a magazine. If I slammed the magazine in it would go in fine but if I tried putting a magazine in slowly there was a strong wall of resistance that had to be overcome (or released by depressing the magazine catch) for the magazine to get pasted its initial contact with the catch.
This magazine catch has an additional bevel that the catch that came with my P938 SAS (which I purchased within the last two years) does not have. The difference is slight but makes a huge difference when inserting magazines. It looks like this is a genuine SIG part so I am not sure why they are different or when SIG made the change.
