A broken, or weak Hammer Reset Spring will not allow the Hammer to reset properly, so replacement is recommended. Nothing beats factory replacement parts.

Was a great replacement spring. Even after lubricating factory spring it still did not function properly which is why I purchased a new one. Parts came in fairly quickly and got it installed same day at home.
